An autorickshaw driver named Saiful Islam (32) was killed in a collision with a bus in the Chagalnaiya area of \u200b\u200bFeni on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. A passenger of the autorickshaw was injured in the incident.
\nThe accident took place on the highway on Thursday (August 6) afternoon in the Nijkunjra area of \u200b\u200bChagalnaiya upazila. The police have seized the bus. The deceased Saiful Islam is the son of Abdul Hai of Chaygharia area of \u200b\u200bChagalnaiya upazila. The name and identity of the injured passenger were not immediately known.
\nAccording to police and eyewitness sources, Saiful was going from Bararhat to Chagalnaiya in an autorickshaw with a passenger. On the way, a Starline Paribahan bus going from Chittagong to Feni hit an autorickshaw while taking a U-turn on the highway in the Nijkunjra area.
\nThe autorickshaw was twisted and the driver Saiful died on the spot and a passenger was injured. Fazilpur Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahidul Islam said that after receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body of the deceased and sent it to the Feni General Hospital morgue. At the request of the relatives, the process of handing over the body without autopsy is underway. The injured passenger has been sent to the hospital for treatment.
\nThe OC also said that immediately after the incident, the bus that caused the accident was seized and taken into police custody. However, the driver and helper fled. The process of taking legal action in this incident is underway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
