US President Donald Trump has made it clear that Iran will not be able to collect any fees from ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Asked by reporters whether Iran would agree to restore full freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said that Iran will not be allowed to collect any money from ships using the waterway.
\n“I will not allow them (Iran) to collect fees. If someone collects fees, we will. We have complete control over Hormuz,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
