Scrap arrivals increased steadily from mid-May, approached 20,000 t in June, and exceeded the target during the final week of July.<\/p>\n<p>The Tokyo Bay SY primarily procures heavy melting scrap (HMS) and shredded scrap and has expanded its purchasing categories since October 2025. Located in Japan&#8217;s largest scrap export hub, the facility plays a strategic role in Tokyo Steel&#8217;s domestic procurement strategy by ensuring a stable supply of locally sourced scrap.<\/p>\n<p>The yard spans 6,202 square metres, making it the largest among Tokyo Steel&#8217;s four satellite yards.
