Gold prices have fallen again in the country’s market due to the decline in the price of acidic gold. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced the price of a bar by Tk 2,216. As a result, the price of a 22-carat gold bar including VAT has been fixed at Tk 220,857. BAJUS gave this information in a notification on Tuesday (July 28) morning. The new price has come into effect from 10 am today.
\nAccording to the new price, the price of a 22-carat gold bar (11.664 grams) in the country’s market will be Tk 220,857 including VAT. In addition, the price of a 21-carat bar has been fixed at Tk 210,943, the price of an 18-carat bar has been fixed at Tk 181,200 and the price of a traditional method bar has been fixed at Tk 148,016.
\nBAJUS said that this price will be effective in all jewelry stores until further notice. However, wages will be applicable according to the jewelry design. Since VAT is attached to the selling price of gold and silver jewellery, VAT cannot be collected separately from customers.
\nAs a result, the new price of gold including VAT has been determined considering the overall situation. In this context, the price of gold has been adjusted 96 times in the domestic market so far this year.
