Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee may join the ongoing protest of the Telapoka Janata Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Monday (July 27) demanding the resignation of Indian Education Minister Dharmendra and reforms in the education system. \nAccording to sources, Mamata Banerjee will go to the protest site to express solidarity with the students participating in the movement. A senior Trinamool leader, who did not want to be named, said, “Mamata Banerjee will join the CJP’s movement in Delhi on Monday.”
\nThe ongoing movement in Delhi has already become one of the largest student movements in recent times. According to political analysts, Mamata’s participation in it may also be an attempt to further strengthen the political position of the Trinamool Congress. This move is seen as an indication of the party’s proactive role, especially after some recent setbacks in Parliament and the West Bengal Assembly.
