On Monday (July 20), the Lebanese army claimed that it had recaptured areas it had captured and controlled, but the mayor of the Lebanese town of Fron, Hassan Bajji, denied the claim.
\nIn an interview with Al Jazeera, the mayor, Hassan Bajji, said that the Lebanese army had not yet begun deploying troops in the town of Zawtar al-Gharbia, because Israeli forces had not yet fully withdrawn from the outskirts of the town or the border area.
