Gold prices continue to fall in the country’s market. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has reduced prices four times in the last five rounds of price adjustments. Out of these, the price of gold per bhori has decreased by a total of Tk 4,374 in two consecutive rounds. In a notification published on Tuesday (July 14) morning, BAJUS said that the new price has been fixed due to the fall in the price of pure gold in the local market. The new price has come into effect from 10 am today.
\nAccording to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) including VAT will be Tk 2,19,808. In addition, the price of 21-carat bhori has been fixed at Tk 29,894, the price of 18-carat bhori at Tk 1,80,267 and the price of traditional gold per bhori has been fixed at Tk 1,47,316. \u200b\u200bEarlier, on July 13, BAJUS had reduced the price of 22-carat gold per bhori by Tk 2,216 to Tk 2,21,966 including VAT.
\nIn addition, the price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at Tk 2,11,993 per bhori, the price of 18 carat gold at Tk 1,82,075 per bhori and the price of traditional gold at Tk 1,48,774 per bhori. As a result, the price of 22 carat gold has decreased by a total of Tk 4,374 per bhori after these two price adjustments on July 13 and 14. According to Bajus data, the price of gold has been adjusted a total of 91 times in the domestic market so far this year. Out of these, the price has increased 44 times, decreased 46 times and VAT has been adjusted 1 time. On the other hand, the price of gold was adjusted a total of 93 times in 2025.
