The Meteorological Department has asked the seaports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra to continue displaying local warning signal No. 3 (re) as adverse weather prevails in the coastal areas due to the impact of the low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal. The agency gave this information in its latest weather situation bulletin signed by Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman on Tuesday (July 7).
\nIt said that the seasonal land depression located in Odisha and adjacent south Jharkhand areas has weakened and has now turned into a clear depression. It is currently located in east Madhya Pradesh and adjacent areas and may gradually weaken as it moves west-northwestwards.
\nIt also said that the air pressure difference has increased in the north Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas due to the impact of the low pressure. As a result, gusty or squally winds may blow in the north Bay of Bengal, coastal areas and seaports of Bangladesh. In this situation, the seaports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to display local warning signal number 3 (re-) .
\nIn addition, the Meteorological Department has directed all fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay of Bengal to proceed with extreme caution near the coast until further notice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
