Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has commented that the highest corruption occurred during the tenure of the previous interim government. He made this comment in the budget debate in the National Parliament on Sunday (June 28), citing media reports.
\nThe Home Minister said that a few days ago, the TIB published a report that the highest corruption occurred during the tenure of the interim government. He requested Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to direct the Anti-Corruption Commission (AC) to investigate the 18-month corruption of the interim government.
\nSalahuddin Ahmed said that even if we do not agree on many issues in the interest of the nation, we have to agree on many things. Those who want to sabotage the elections and stay in power for 5 years also have to remember their words. Also, calling the budget people-friendly, he said that this time the prices of no essential goods were increased before or after the budget presentation. The Home Minister expressed the hope that everyone will see the positive impact of the budget within the next 6 months.
