Traffic on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway has been halted after a tanker lorry overturned in the capital’s airport area. The accident occurred in front of the United Shopping Complex at the airport on Thursday (June 25) afternoon. Eyewitnesses said that a tanker lorry lost control while driving on the highway and overturned on the road. This blocked an important part of the road and disrupted traffic from Dhaka to Mymensingh and Mymensingh to Dhaka.
\nImmediately after the accident, long traffic jams were created on both sides of the road. Queues of vehicles for several kilometers were seen especially in the airport area. Passengers traveling to offices and the airport suffered greatly. However, no information was immediately available about casualties or damage in the accident.
