Iranian Parliament Speaker Baqer Ghalibaf said on his return to Tehran after concluding preliminary talks with the US in Switzerland that the Strait of Hormuz \u2018will remain under Iran\u2019s control\u2019.
\n\u201cWe hope that we can reactivate the strait so that the flow of goods can return to normal and prosperity can return to the regional and global economies,\u201d he said.
\nThe Iranian parliament speaker also said that the release of Iran\u2019s seized assets and the sale of oil are also on the agenda in ongoing talks with the US. According to analysts, such comments on the strategically important Strait of Hormuz could create new significance in regional geopolitics.
