A driver was crushed to death after a truck overturned in Rajoir, Madaripur. The accident occurred at Tekerhat bus stand on the Dhaka-Barisal highway at around 10:30 pm on Sunday (June 21). The deceased truck driver, Abul Hossain Mandal (50), is the son of Zafir Uddin Mandal of Safar area of \u200b\u200bNaoga district.
\nPolice and locals said that when a Barisal-bound bamboo-laden truck reached Tekerhat, its tire burst. Then, when driver Abul Hossain tried to open the tire, the truck overturned. As a result, he was crushed under the truck and died on the spot. Later, the police and fire brigade reached the spot and recovered the body.
