A powerful blast near a train carrying soldiers in Pakistan’s Balochistan province has killed at least 24 people and injured many more. It is said that soldiers and their family members are among the dead. This information was revealed in a report by news agency NDTV on Sunday (May 24). According to local sources, an explosive-laden vehicle hit a train carriage while crossing a railway signal in the Chaman Pattak area of \u200b\u200bQuetta. A huge explosion followed.
\nMany soldiers and their family members who were on a Peshawar-bound train during the Eid holidays were the victims of the attack. The intensity of the explosion caused at least two carriages of the train to derail, overturn and catch fire. Thick black smoke spread across the entire area after the incident. Published images showed the damaged carriages lying in heaps and rescuers searching for survivors in the rubble.
\nAt that time, the bloody injured were seen being carried on stretchers and security forces were deployed at the scene. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
