Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said that a decision has been taken to give priority to the speedy resolution of land-related cases. He said that for this reason, it is necessary to take legal measures outside the existing law through the Village Court or Alternative Dispute Resolution Act. He said these things after inaugurating the three-day Bhumi Seva Mela on Tuesday (May 19) morning.
\nThe Prime Minister said that if the alternative dispute resolution path is implemented through discussion, mediation, arbitration or settlement, on the one hand, the backlog of cases pending in the courts will decrease, and on the other hand, it will also be easier to resolve land-related disputes in the fastest possible time.
\nThe Prime Minister said that the government wants to be accountable to the people not only on land-related issues, but also through every people-friendly program. The people of the country, who have been oppressed under fascist rule for the past one and a half decades, want the current government to see the reflection of human rights in the state and politics. For this reason, he also said that the government is focused on implementing every promise in the election manifesto.
\nHe further said that it is planned to set up more such land service support centers in every union of the country in phases. And at the same time, a mobile app has been launched to bring land services at the fingertips of the citizens, which has been named ‘Bhoomi’. The Prime Minister said that the more modern and technology-based land management becomes, the easier it will be to resolve land disputes. Ensuring online facilities in land management will greatly reduce land-related suffering.
