Another 7,000 metric tonnes of diesel have arrived at the Parbatipur depot in Dinajpur through the Bangladesh-India Friendship Pipeline from Numaligarh Refinery Limited in Assam, India. As a result, a total of 42,000 tonnes of diesel oil has arrived from India in the seventh phase this year.
\nThe oil reached the Parbatipur railhead depot on Thursday (April 23) morning. Earlier, the pumping of this diesel had started from the evening of last Monday (April 20). Rabiul Alam, Operation Manager of Parbatipur Railhead Oil Depot, confirmed the matter.
\nHe said that a total of about 40,000 tonnes of diesel was supposed to arrive through the pipeline this month. This is the third time that diesel has arrived from India this month. 8,000 tonnes of diesel reached the Parbatipur depot on April 11 and 5,000 tonnes on April 16 this month. He also said that another 5,000 tonnes of diesel will arrive next week.
\nEarlier, 5,000 metric tonnes of diesel reached Parbatipur depot on March 28 and 7,000 metric tonnes on March 31 through this pipeline. This diesel is stored at Parbatipur depot. Later, it will be supplied to 16 districts of the northern region in addition to eight districts of Rangpur division.
\nMeanwhile, consumers have demanded an increase in the supply of petrol and octane, like diesel. People have been seen standing in lines at various filling stations (known as pumps) in the district to get oil for various vehicles. Apart from increasing the supply, consumers are hoping that the suffering will be reduced if oil is supplied to all filling stations simultaneously.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
