The initial rollout in Amritsar, supported by a network of around 20 distributors, targets key stakeholders such as contractors and engineers to drive adoption at the consumption level.<\/p>\n<p>Product positioning and market strategy:<\/p>\n<p>The launch reflects a strategic shift towards value-added long products, with stainless steel rebars positioned as a premium alternative to conventional carbon steel reinforcement. The company highlighted superior corrosion resistance, higher tensile strength, and extended service life-key factors for infrastructure applications in aggressive environments. The product is manufactured using billets from its Hisar facility and processed at Ghaziabad, ensuring integrated supply chain efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Abhyuday Jindal said, &#8220;As India continues to build at scale, the focus must shift towards materials that deliver long-term performance, safety, and lifecycle value. Our entry into the retail segment marks a strategic extension into the construction value chain.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Rajeev Garg said, &#8220;This initiative is focused on strengthening last-mile availability and engaging directly with stakeholders. The initial response indicates growing demand for high-performance materials in critical applications.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Demand potential in construction sector:<\/p>\n<p>Stainless steel rebars remain a niche but growing segment in India, with demand driven by infrastructure, coastal projects, and high-durability applications. Global markets such as Japan and Europe have already seen wider adoption, indicating potential for scale-up in India.
