Two US Navy ships have begun work to remove leaf mines in the Strait of Hormuz. According to US military authorities, many ships are still unable to navigate this important waterway despite the ceasefire being in effect. US media outlet CNN News reported this information in a report on Sunday (April 12).
\nOn Saturday (April 11), the US Central Command said that the guided missile destroyers USS Frank-E. Peterson and USS Michael Murphy entered the Arabian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz. The aim of the operation is to remove sea mines placed in Hormuz by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) after the war began and to secure the waterway.
