Bangladesh is about to make history. The Bangladesh national football team is set to take on a European team for the first time. A FIFA Tier-1 international friendly match between the two teams will be held in San Marino on June 5, 2026. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) officially announced the match today.
\nThis is a doubly historic moment for Bangladesh. In addition to facing a European team for the first time, this will be Bangladesh’s first match on European soil. On the other hand, it is also history for San Marino, as they will be playing against an Asian team for the first time.
\nBoth federations have expressed excitement about this unique international match. It is hoped that the match will create important competitive experience for both teams and contribute to the development of football in the two countries.
\nBeyond the boundaries of the game, this match also carries the promise of strengthening international cooperation and friendship between the two federations.
