\nReferring to NATO’s 2025 activity report, she said that the role of the alliance in increasing global tensions has become clear. Zakharova said that NATO’s potential military spending in 2025 could be about $1.64 trillion, which is about 62 percent of the combined global military spending of the 32 member countries. She questioned why Russia is being portrayed as a threat despite such huge spending.
\nThe Russian official claimed that more than 120 military exercises were held under NATO last year. In addition, member countries conducted more than 700 training activities separately. She also noted that the participation of partner countries in these exercises is increasing.
