BNP leader Rashed Khan has alleged that the interim government has committed a major fraud with various political parties, including the BNP, on the referendum. He made this allegation in a post on his verified Facebook page today, Monday (March 30).
\nAt the beginning of the post, Rashed Khan said, the referendum ordinance is being canceled! News is being spread that it will not be raised in the form of a bill in parliament. But many are not trying to understand what the real issue is. And the big thing is, there is a lack of people who understand and explain the issue. A referendum was held in Bangladesh according to the referendum ordinance. But there was a lot of debate in the consensus commission on the basis of what the referendum was held. Several parties, including the BNP, had different opinions on some of the proposals raised by the consensus commission. When the National Charter of July was signed at the National Parliament Building, there were also differences of opinion in the book. After the signing, the government canceled and published the dissent note in the document that it publishes for the referendum. Here the interim government has committed a major fraud with many political parties, including the BNP.
\nThe leader, who resigned from the post of General Secretary of the Public Rights Council and was elected with the symbol of the BNP’s paddy sheaf, said, “Then when the referendum ordinance was issued in the form of the ‘July National Charter Implementation Order’, the opportunity was given to answer any one of the four questions. If there were four options to answer the four questions, then there would have been an opportunity to say yes or no freely. Here too, the interim government has committed another big fraud. Another big fraud they committed is that after the national election, the issues discussed in the National Consensus Commission were discussed again in the parliament (taking advantage of the dual role of the parliament) and if there was no consensus on any issue, there was no opportunity for political consensus to go to a referendum. In an attempt to do better, they have already organized a referendum or on the same day. But in all countries, there are precedents of organizing referendums after national elections. But the Consensus Commission has created a precedent of organizing a referendum before or on the same day by forcing everything. And that is…” That is why BNP says that the reason for the ordinance has been used, there is no way to withdraw it again. No need.\u2019
\nRashed Khan said, \u2018Here BNP\u2019s statement was correct, if consensus is not reached through discussions in parliament, a referendum will be held. But there is no trust in BNP, so a referendum is being held by force (like having children before marriage). According to the student advisors, the Consensus Commission and some evil advisors of the government did all this so that elections would not be held before 5 years and a major crisis would intensify! Now BNP will reform those issues on which there was consensus, which BNP has been saying since before the elections. Raising the referendum ordinance in the form of a bill in parliament means discussing it again, which has already been decided by the National Consensus Commission (with notes of dissent) and if there is no consensus after the discussions, a referendum will be held (referendum as per the ordinance). Even before the formation of the National Parliament, the interim government\u2026\u2019 has been implemented. It is not BNP\u2019s fault in any way. On the advice of the Deep State, some evil advisors and commission members of the interim government, greedy for staying in power for five years, did this to create a problem. And some political parties have climbed on the shoulders of the government to prevent the election from happening.
