There is a severe fuel shortage at the pumps in the capital. Since Tuesday morning (March 24), customers have been seen waiting in long lines for fuel at most filling stations. However, the desired fuel is not available. The authorities are not able to say anything specific about when the fuel will arrive from the depot. People are crowding one pump after another, but signboards reading ‘No fuel’ are hanging in most places.
\nMeanwhile, those who have used up the remaining fuel in their cars while looking for fuel at another pump after running out of fuel at one pump are facing the most problems. At the moment, there is a strong tendency to ‘panic buy’ among the general public. Many are trying to collect more fuel than necessary, thinking that this crisis will increase in the next few days, due to which the lines are getting longer.
\nAs banks and depots are closed during the Eid holidays, a temporary crisis has arisen due to the complexity of payment. However, the pump authorities say that although banking activities are normal today, the main problem has arisen in demand. Pump owners claim that people are using more oil than necessary, resulting in the stocks running out quickly.
