Due to the security risks of the ongoing war situation in the Middle East, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan have temporarily closed their airspace from February 28. This has had a direct impact on Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. In this context, a total of 24 flights have been cancelled today (March 14).
\nAlong with this, 475 flights have been cancelled from Dhaka since February 28 due to the closure of airspace due to the war situation. The flights cancelled today include – Kuwait 2, Air Arabia (Sharjah, United Arab Emirates) 2, Gulf Air (Bahrain) 4, Qatar Airways (Qatar) 4, Emirates Airlines (United Arab Emirates) 4, Jazeera (Kuwait) 4, Flydubai (United Arab Emirates) 4, a total of 24 flights have been cancelled.
\nCivil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) sources said that 23 flights were cancelled on February 28, 40 on March 1, 46 on March 2 and 39 on March 3, 28 on March 4, 36 on March 5, 34 on March 6, 28 on March 7, 28 on March 8 and 33 on March 9, 32 on March 10, 27 on March 11, 28 on March 12, 25 on March 13 and 24 on March 14.
