There is still a fuel oil crisis in the capital. Several pumps could not start working normally on Tuesday (March 10) morning due to supply shortage. Motorcyclists and car drivers were seen coming and going to get fuel. However, the pumps that are still operational are supplying fuel in accordance with government instructions.
\nA long queue of vehicles can be seen at the Trust Filling Station in Tejgaon. After waiting for one and a half to two hours, they get the desired fuel. The drivers say that the government must take effective steps to alleviate this suffering. They also alleged that some are illegally hoarding oil.
\nMeanwhile, 5,000 metric tons of diesel is coming to Bangladesh from the Numaligarh refinery in Assam, India, to resolve the ongoing fuel crisis. Muhammad Morshed Hossain Azad, General Manager of the Commerce and Operations Department of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation, confirmed the matter.
\nHe said that the pumping of diesel has already started. Diesel will reach Bangladesh through pipeline by today. The government has taken this initiative on an urgent basis to maintain normal fuel reserves and ensure uninterrupted supply.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
