Iran has threatened to attack Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility if it tries to change the government. The semi-official Iranian Students News Agency reported this on Wednesday (March 4).
\nThe agency quoted a senior Iranian military official as saying that Tehran would respond firmly and decisively to any foreign intervention or conspiracy aimed at overthrowing the Iranian government.
\nHe specifically mentioned Israel’s Dimona nuclear reactor and said that Iran has the ability to attack important facilities if war is imposed.<\/p>\n
Pledge to protect sovereignty
\nThe statement said that Iran is ready to go to the highest level if necessary to protect the country’s sovereignty and political system. Officials said that such a response would be made in order to prevent foreign powers from interfering in the country’s internal affairs.
