The Sirajganj administration has been shaken after Jamuna TV broadcasted news of extortion on roads and highways. A drive is being carried out. 9 people have already been arrested.
\nSirajganj Deputy Commissioner Sirajganj Superintendent of Police Aminul Islam confirmed that they were arrested in the drive. However, the names of the detainees were not immediately known.
\nAdditional police have been deployed in the areas where there are allegations of extortion since morning. Illegal shops built along the highway are also being demolished. This initiative has also been taken so that people do not suffer during the upcoming Eid pilgrimage.
