The Middle East is unstable after the US-Israeli military attack on Iran. In such a situation, Middle Eastern countries have closed their airspace. This has directly affected Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. The airport authorities have said that 74 flights have been canceled so far.
\nAlthough it is being said that the departure times of several flights have been changed, in reality, most flights are now uncertain. As a result, many have suffered. Many are not even getting accurate information about their flights, and there are also complaints.
\nGroup Captain SM Ragib Samad, Executive Director of Shahjalal International Airport, told the media, “A total of 74 flights have been canceled by various airlines in 3 days from February 28 to March 2. We have received this information from them.”
\nAccording to the information provided by the airport authorities, a total of 23 flights were canceled on February 28 (Saturday). These include one by Emirates, one by Gulf Air, one by Fly Dubai, three by Air Arabia, six by US-Bangla Airlines and 11 by Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
\nThe next day, Sunday (March 1), 40 flights were canceled. Of these, two by Jazeera Airways, five by Emirates Airlines, two by Gulf Air, four by Fly Dubai, two by Qatar Airways, two by Salam Air, eight by Air Arabia, two by Kuwait Airways, four by US-Bangla Airlines and nine by Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
