At least 30 people have been reported dead in Brazil due to heavy rains and flooding. More than half a dozen are missing. Meanwhile, a disaster has been declared in the southeastern state. The incident took place in the state of Minas Gerais on Monday (February 23), according to a BBC report.
\nThe country’s President Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva expressed his “deepest condolences” to the families of the victims and those who lost their homes in a post on social media. He also said that a “state of disaster” has been declared in Juiz de Fora.
