Jamaat has invited Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to its Iftar mahfil. The Iftar will be held at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center in the capital on Saturday (February 28). Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar met the Prime Minister at the Secretariat this Wednesday (February 25) morning and invited him. Along with the Prime Minister, family members have also been invited.
\nLater, a senior Jamaat leader said that the Prime Minister has expressed interest in organizing the Iftar mahfil. The party’s Secretary General also said that Jamaat wants to play its due role as an opposition party to keep the democratic trend consistent.
