Home Minister and BNP National Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed paid courtesy calls on newly appointed administrators of six city corporations, including two city corporations in Dhaka. The meeting was held at the Home Ministry’s office at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Tuesday (February 24) morning. During this, the minister welcomed the newly appointed administrators of the six city corporations to his office.
\nIn the meeting, the administrators of the six city corporations sought the minister’s full cooperation during their work and promised to work with the highest service mentality for the development of the six cities. It is worth noting that a notification was issued on February 22, 2026, from the City Corporation-1 branch of the Local Government Division of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives for the appointment of six administrators.
\nAccording to the notification, the six administrators appointed to the six city corporations are – Md. Abdus Salam in Dhaka South City Corporation; Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan in Dhaka North City Corporation; Nazrul Islam Manju in Khulna City Corporation; Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury in Sylhet City Corporation; Md.
