The US military has carried out another high-risk attack on a vessel in the eastern Pacific, killing two and rescuing one, the US Coast Guard said.
\nAccording to the US Southern Command, the attack took place on Monday (February 9) on a vessel it claims was involved in drug trafficking. However, no evidence was released to support the allegations. The US Coast Guard was notified after the attack so that a rescue operation could be launched for one survivor.
\nThe incident is part of a series of US military operations targeting suspected drug trafficking vessels in the eastern Pacific and Caribbean. Several such attacks have been reported since late last year. No information has yet been provided on the condition of the survivor or the possibility of rescue.
