A pickup van driver and helper were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Munshiganj. The accident occurred at 2:30 am yesterday (February 8) at the Nimtala underpass in Sirajdikhan. The deceased were pickup driver Sujan (37) and helper Icharul (25). The deceased Sujan is the son of Mizanur Rahman of Baliadanga village of Kotwali police station in Jessore, and Icharul’s house is in Dumuria, Khulna.
\nStation Officer of Srinagar Fire Station Dewan Azad Hossain confirmed this information. He said that the pickup van was going from Jessore to Dhaka with raw materials. When it reached the Nimtala underpass on the way, the pickup hit an unknown car coming from behind. As a result, the front part of the pickup was twisted and twisted. The unknown car quickly left the scene immediately after the incident. Pickup driver Sujan died on the spot in the accident.
\nUpon receiving the information, Srinagar Fire Service and Highway Police reached the spot and rescued the seriously injured helper Isharul and took him to a local hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. It is worth noting that the damaged pickup van was recovered after the accident.
