Before the election, a CCTV camera installed at a polling station in Lakshmipur’s Sadar was stolen. The incident took place at the polling station of Dakshin Chiladi Government Primary School in Kushkhali Union of Sadar Upazila. Two CCTV cameras were stolen from that center. The acting headmaster of the school confirmed the matter at midnight on Wednesday (February 4) and said that a written complaint has been filed with Sadar Police Station in this regard.
\nAccording to the complaint source, a total of three CCTV cameras were installed at the polling station of Dakshin Chiladi Government Primary School. Last Thursday (January 29) at 4 pm, the teachers left the school at the scheduled time. After that, the school was closed for three consecutive days. Last Monday (February 2) morning, the teachers came to the school and found that two of the three CCTV cameras installed on the ground floor had been removed by miscreants. The same picture was seen when they went to the spot yesterday.
\nThe acting headmaster of the school, Mosammad Momtaz Begum, said, “Last Thursday, we closed the school as per the rules and went home.” Three days later, on Monday, I found that two CCTV cameras installed for polling had been stolen. The matter was immediately reported to the administration and a written complaint was filed at the police station.
\nOn this incident, Advocate Hasibur Rahman Hasib, joint convener of Lakshmipur district BNP, said, “This could be part of their sabotage activities by those who want to rig the election or create chaos at the polling station. CCTV cameras are very important for free, fair and impartial elections. Those who removed them have some hidden motive.” In this regard, Lakshmipur district assistant returning officer and Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kathoypru Marma said, “I am aware of the matter and a complaint has been filed at Sadar police station in this regard.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
