A plane crashed on the border between Colombia and Venezuela. None of the 15 people survived. Colombia’s state airline Satena confirmed the incident. British media outlet BBC News reported this information in a report on Thursday (January 29).
\nThe dead include a member of parliament, two crew members and an election candidate. The plane crashed on its way from the border city of Cucuta to Ocana at noon local time on Wednesday (January 28). The plane lost contact with the control tower just before landing. Debris has also been found.
\nAs the crash site is mountainous and under the control of guerrillas, rescue efforts are being hampered by the administration. The crashed plane is a ‘Beechcraft 1900 twin-propeller’ model.
