\nCommunication has been virtually cut off since the internet has been shut down in Iran since last Thursday (January 8). Speaking to reporters yesterday (January 11), Trump said, “If possible, we will try to turn on the internet.” He also said, “Elon is very good at this kind of thing. I will call him after I finish talking to you.”
\nIt is worth noting that the protests in Iran began on December 28 to protest the increase in commodity prices. But they quickly turned into widespread anti-government protests. The current Iranian government accuses the United States and Israel of fueling the protests. Meanwhile, Iran has shut down almost all types of internet services since last Thursday.
