\nHe also said that the EU observation team will separately monitor election-related discussions in the media and social media. He said that building trust among the public is the most challenging part of election observation. Political parties have told us in our meeting that they want free, fair, transparent and impartial elections. Equal opportunities require a strong role for law enforcement agencies.
\nStating that the EU’s meeting process with political parties is ongoing, Ijbos said, “The EU will go through various processes to see an equal opportunity. The EU believes that Bangladesh has the capacity to hold fair, free and fair elections.” The EU’s chief election observer said they have their own fact-checking team to identify false propaganda in the media and social media.
\nStating that it is not unusual for referendums and national elections to be held together, he said, “The EU is keeping in mind the issue of violence before and after the elections. EU observers will visit 64 districts to see the situation of participation of all communities, including minorities and women, in the elections.
