BNP Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). She breathed her last at 6 am today (December 30). Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman expressed grief over her death.
\nIn a post on his verified Facebook page, he wrote, ‘Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. May Allah Almighty shower His mercy on former Prime Minister of Bangladesh and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, forgive her and accept her as a beloved guest of Paradise. May Allah Almighty grant patience to her relatives, loved ones and colleagues. Amen.’
\nBegum Khaleda Zia had been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital since November 23.
