The fire broke out between 5 am and 10 am today, Monday (December 1) in Gazipur’s Sreepur, Pubail Mazukhan, Gazipur Sadar Chowrasta Chandra, Ambagh of Konabari Police Station and Dighi Par area of \u200b\u200bChandra Palli Bidyut area of \u200b\u200bKaliakoir Municipality.
\nAccording to eyewitnesses and fire service information, a cotton warehouse in Pubail Mazukhan area of \u200b\u200bGazipur caught fire at around 5 am today. At that time, the fire spread to two more warehouses. Later, locals informed the fire service. On receiving the information, four units of the fire service went to the spot and tried to control the fire for an hour. The goods in the three warehouses were burnt to ashes.
\nOn the other hand, a fire broke out in the warehouse of a businessman named Palash Mia in Konabari Ambag Purba Para area of \u200b\u200bGazipur city. Upon receiving the information, four units of the fire service tried for about an hour and a half to control the fire. All the goods in the warehouse were burnt in the fire. Meanwhile, a terrible fire broke out in a tin shed colony in the Chandra Pallibidyut Dighi Par area of \u200b\u200bKaliakoir Municipality at around 9:30 am. 80 rooms of the colony were burnt to ashes in the fire.
\nIt is known that people living in the colony had come out to various workplaces in the morning. At that time, the fire started from one room. People around saw the fire and shouted and tried to control the fire. At that time, the intensity of the fire increased and spread to the surrounding areas. Upon receiving the information, four units of the Kaliakoir Fire Service went to the spot and tried for an hour and a half to control the fire.
\nEarlier, a fire broke out in a shop in the Chanda More area of \u200b\u200bSadar, Gazipur at around 2 am yesterday. At first, the locals worked to control the fire. Later, after receiving the information, a unit of the fire service reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
\nOn the same day, around 10 pm, a fire broke out in the house of Munni Begum, the daughter-in-law of the deceased Kafil Uddin, in Bairagirchala village of Sreepur Municipality. Locals said that around 10 pm, a local person suddenly saw fire in Munni Begum’s house. Later, when the fire service was informed, the fire service personnel reached the spot and worked to control the fire. After receiving the information about the incident, SI Matiur Rahman of Sreepur Model Police Station immediately reached the spot.
\nAfter the inspection, he said, we went to the spot after receiving the information and saw the fire service personnel trying to control the fire. Initially, it is estimated that the damage will be four to five lakh taka. He also said that locals say that Munni Begum’s son Hasan Sheikh started the fire. However, we cannot say anything without investigating the matter.
\nMauna Fire Service Officer-in-Charge Norul Karim said, “We reached the spot after receiving the news and two units of the fire service were able to bring the fire under control within five to seven minutes. Initially, it is estimated that the damage is four to five lakh taka. Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Director Mohammad Mamun said, “Five fires have occurred in Gazipur since morning. Fire service personnel have worked to control the fires. Currently, all the fires are under control.
