Floods across Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Malaysia have killed nearly 1,000 people in less than a week. Sri Lanka and Indonesia have deployed military personnel to help victims of the devastating floods.
\nThe UN relief and relief agency said nearly a million people in 25 districts of Sri Lanka have been affected by the floods. More than 180,000 people from 51,000 families have taken shelter in 1,094 government shelters.
