Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has apologized to President Isaac Herzog to avoid an ongoing corruption case. In a video message, he said he was ready to face the full process of the case. However, he changed his mind in the national interest.
\nThe president’s office said Herzog would seek the opinion of judicial officials on the matter. The Israeli prime minister has been on trial for five years in multiple cases on charges of bribery, fraud and abuse of power. However, Netanyahu has denied all the charges.
