Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’ actor Dharmendra is no more. Director Karan Johar has confirmed the news of the legendary actor’s death. Popular Indian magazine Filmfare has also confirmed the news. The magazine’s verified Facebook page said that veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has passed away. He passed away today, Monday (November 24), at the age of 89. With his death, a golden chapter of six decades of Indian cinema came to an end.
\nMeanwhile, Dharmendra was recently admitted to the hospital due to a physical illness. At that time, rumors of his death were also spread everywhere. Finally, Dharmendra stopped all the rumors and returned home after recovering. According to a report by Indian media NDTV, he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai in late October due to respiratory problems. He returned home from the hospital just 12 days ago after completing treatment. This famous actor died at his home this Monday morning.
\nAn ambulance was seen entering Dharmendra’s Juhu residence in Mumbai this morning. Police security was tightened there in no time and barricades were erected within 50 metres of the house to control public movement. News agency ANI tweeted that stars have started arriving at the veteran actor’s house. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and many others were present there. Several leading Indian media outlets have reported the news of the veteran actor’s death, but no announcement has been made by the family yet.
\nA mystery has been created around the crematorium in Mumbai’s Vile Parle. Several Indian media outlets have claimed that the entire family including Hema Malini, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol were seen there. Even Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were also reported to be present there. However, the entire family is at the crematorium, although there is no official announcement of death; this has created a haze at some point. However, Indian media is claiming that the Deol family is keeping the legend’s death a secret after rumors of his death spread a few days ago.
\nIt is worth noting that Dharmendra made his Bollywood debut in 1960 with the film ‘Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere’. In the early sixties, he won the hearts of the audience by playing the role of a common man in films like ‘Anpadh’, ‘Bandini’, ‘Anupama’ and ‘Aya Sawan Jhum Ke’.
