A 5.3-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Myanmar. The earthquake struck at 10:39 am Bangladesh time today (November 23). The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the earthquake was centered in the Andaman Sea, 267 kilometers west-southwest of Dawei, Myanmar. Its epicenter was 10 kilometers below the surface.
\nThe USGS said the earthquake was felt in neighboring Thailand as well as Myanmar. There were no immediate reports of damage. Meanwhile, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Halmahera area of \u200b\u200bNorth Maluku province in eastern Indonesia. The Khaleej Times reported this news in a report today (November 23).
