A 5.2-magnitude earthquake has struck the Halmahera area of \u200b\u200bNorth Maluku province in eastern Indonesia. However, there were no reports of damage or casualties. The country’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geology Agency (BMKG) said in a statement that the epicenter of the earthquake was 10 kilometers below the surface.
\nThe agency also said that no damage or casualties have been reported so far. Due to its location on the Pacific Ocean’s ‘Ring of Fire’, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions regularly occur in various parts of Indonesia.
\nEarlier, a 5.7-magnitude earthquake hit Bangladesh last Friday. At least 10 people were killed in it. The day after this incident, three more mild earthquakes were felt in Bangladesh on Saturday.
