The interim government will take some quick decisions to deal with earthquake damage. Environment Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan said this. She said that necessary measures will have to be taken after discussing with local and foreign experts. She told reporters after a seminar at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Center in Agargaon in the capital on Sunday (November 23) afternoon.
\nRizwana Hasan said that last Friday’s earthquake was the highest warning signal. There is no room for sitting back after this. The government will have to identify risky areas and control them. Rizwana Hasan also commented that no concessions can be made in dealing with the risk.
\nMeanwhile, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (RAJUK) said that about 300 buildings in Dhaka were damaged in the earthquake. Further measures will be taken after examining these buildings.
