53 leaders and activists, including the newly-former general secretary of Chuadanga ward BNP, have officially joined Jamaat-e-Islami. A joining ceremony was organized at a school ground in Akandbaria village of Alokdia on Friday (November 14) night.
\nThey joined by holding hands with Masud Parvez Russell, the parliamentary candidate for Chuadanga 1 constituency and assistant secretary of the district Jamaat, and garlanding them with flowers. It is learned that 53 BNP leaders and activists, led by Atiar Rahman, the newly-former general secretary of Ward No. 2 BNP of Akandbaria village of Alokdia union in Chuadanga Sadar upazila, have officially joined Jamaat-e-Islami.
\nMasud Parvez Russell, the assistant secretary of Chuadanga district Jamaat, was present as the chief guest at the joining ceremony today. Also present were Sadar Upazila Amir Billal Hossain and Alokdia union Amir Abdul Momin.
