At least 19 people were killed and several others injured in a horrific road accident in Vikarabad, southern Indian state of Telangana. The incident took place at 7:30 am local time on Monday (November 3) at Chevela on the Vikarabad-Hyderabad highway. The bus was heading towards Rangareddy from Mirzaguda with at least 40 passengers.
\nThe state police said that a stone-laden truck overtook a motorcycle when it collided head-on with another bus. At one point, the truck overturned and the stones inside it fell on the bus. As a result, many were injured.
\nAfter the accident, the passengers of the bus were rescued and taken out. The injured have been sent to a local hospital. State Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed deep grief over the incident.
