Two people died after an auto-rickshaw lost control and overturned in Mahishkhocha of Aditmari upazila in Lalmonirhat. Three more were injured in the incident.
\nIt is learnt that on Saturday (October 25) at around 10 am, while heading from Mahishkhocha towards Aditmari upazila, Ansar lost control in the Khar Pukur area and fell into a low-lying paddy field nearby. Atiqul Islam died on the spot after being crushed under the auto-rickshaw. Meanwhile, the rest were rescued and taken to the local Upazila Health Complex. The seriously injured Ataur Rahman Bakul was taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where he died. The auto-rickshaw driver has been absconding since the incident.
\nAditmari police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Rezaul Islam told us that the body was recovered and handed over as there was no complaint from the family. Necessary legal action is under process in this regard.
