Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Ajit Singh said that the July Charter sets a framework for democratic reforms. He made the remarks in a post published on the official Facebook page of the Canadian High Commission. He said that Canada welcomes the signing of the July National Charter by Bangladesh. \nReiterating Canada’s support for a peaceful and democratic transition in the upcoming elections in Bangladesh, the High Commissioner said that the July National Charter will be a guide to political unity and transparent governance in Bangladesh. Ajit Singh said that Bangladesh is moving towards a peaceful democratic transition and Canada stands with Bangladesh. The elections will ensure a free, fair, inclusive and participatory process.
