A new flotilla attempting to break the blockade of Gaza has failed to achieve its goal. The flotilla\u2019s ships and passengers have been seized and are being taken to an Israeli port.
\nThe Times of Israel reported this in a report on Wednesday (October 8).
\nIsraeli Foreign Minister Ezekiel A. (formerly Twitter) wrote, \u201cAnother failed attempt to break the legal naval blockade and enter the war zone has failed. The ships and passengers have been transferred to an Israeli port. All passengers are safe and sound. The passengers will be held for immediate departure.\u201d
\nThe incident comes a week after the navy seized more than 40 ships.
\nThe flotilla, known as the Sumud Flotilla, was the largest operation to challenge the Gaza blockade to date. Israel has deported most of the 479 personnel who took part in the operation.
