\nHe said these words in an interview given to BBC Bangla about Sheikh Hasina\u2019s asylum in India and relations with the country. The second part of the interview was published on BBC Bangla\u2019s verified Facebook page today, Tuesday (October 7).
\nIn response to a question about what the BNP\u2019s policy will be on relations with India, Tarique Rahman said, \u2018That country or any other country is not the issue here. The issue is that Bangladesh is my interest for me, I will first look at the interests of the people of my country, I will look at the interests of my country. I will uphold it and do whatever I can.\u2019
