This measure aims to target the portion of EU trade with Israel that benefits from preferential trade status. She stated that this represents approximately 37% of the total \u20ac42.6 billion in trade in 2024. Simson said that if approved, this would cause significant damage to Israel. However, she acknowledged that this measure requires the majority support of EU member states, which will not be easy to obtain.
